Where to read Machine learning algorithms from?|Is online courses enough for Data science interview?

There is a common question among the students preparing for data science interviews, from where one should read ML algorithms asked in data science or ML interviews?

Well, a lot of students take many online courses on data science, and still, the question prevails. Online courses are good for having a practical knowledge of machine learning algorithms, but there are really very few courses that can contribute towards the understanding of these algorithms. What I have felt over years is that they just don’t tell you all the concepts or all the mathematics behind any algorithms.
