30-Meter Shortwave FT8 Activity (2021-AUG-01 @ 0720 UTC) - HF Digital Signals
NW7US
This is a video capture of my reception and transmission of digital FT8 mode amateur radio high-frequency (HF; Shortwave) signals. The frequency on HF is in the 30-Meter amateur radio band. As can be seen, the 30-Meter band was active at this time of day (0720 UTC, onward).
You will see me make two-way contacts with stations from around the country and the world.
These two-way contacts are called a "QSO."
The radio used is an Icom IC-7610 transceiver. The antenna is an off-center fed dipole that is over 200 feet in total length (end-to-end measurement).
