You can find your old files in your old home folder just search in finder under the "go" tab in the menu bar click on under "go" Computer or use the short cut shift command C then choose your system drive and then choose the users folder in there you should see your old folder and your new folder just move your old files from the old home folder to the new home folder and make sure you put them in the same place inside your new home folder before you delete the old user folder.
