Using the Quadratic Formula to Solve Equations
Mt. Ford Studios
In this tutorial, we solve three quadratic equation problems by using the Quadratic Formula. You can use this formula to pretty much solve any quadratic equation that you may encounter. I typically prefer to use other methods to solve quadratics, as this method is probably the most time consuming.
All equations shown are in the Standard Form: ax² + bx + c = 0. You should be able to rearrange equations to get to this form.
PROBLEMS 0:45 2x² + 3x - 9 = 0 3:29 x² - 7 = 0 7:00 6x² + 11x - 10 = 0
