Algebra Substitution Method to Solve Simultaneous Equations

In this tutorial, we solve three simultaneous equation problems by using the Substitution method. We do two numerical examples and one word problem.
PROBLEMS 0:40 4a + 2b = 22 and 2a - b = 1 4:49 3x + 5y = 2 and 10y - 2x = 0 8:21 100 tickets were sold for a music recital. Children's tickets cost $3.50 each and Adult tickets cost $5.00 each. The total sales were $471.50. How many of each type of ticket were sold?
