What Makes Project Zomboid Stand Out From Other Zombie Games?

Project Zomboid is a zombie apocalypse simulation game, which stands out in a category usually dedicated to power fantasies and tragic dramas. It has been lovingly developed for over a decade at this point by The Indie Stone, and takes place in a fictional Knox County, Kentucky. Aside from my few unhinged complaints as a citizen of Kentucky about a lack of KFC, horses, and liquor stills, I think the game is otherwise an excellent edition to your steam library.
