To perform a hard reset on a MikroTik SXT Lite5 wireless device, follow these steps:
Note: Performing a hard reset will erase all configuration settings on the device and restore it to its factory default settings. Make sure to backup your configuration settings before proceeding if you wish to retain them.
Locate the reset button: On the MikroTik SXT Lite5, the reset button is typically a small hole or a button located on the back or bottom of the device.
Power off the SXT Lite5: Ensure that the device is powered off. If it's connected to a power source, unplug it.
Press and hold the reset button: Using a paperclip or a similar thin object, press and hold the reset button.
Power on the SXT Lite5 while holding the reset button: While still holding the reset button, connect the device to a power source. Keep holding the button for about 10-15 seconds.
Release the reset button: After holding the reset button for the specified time, release it. The SXT Lite5 will now reset to its factory default settings.
Wait for the device to reboot: The device will restart and go through the reboot process. This may take a minute or two.
Access the default configuration: Once the device has finished booting up, you can access it using its default settings. The default IP address for MikroTik devices is usually 192.168.88.1, and the default username and password are both "admin" (without quotes).
Now, your MikroTik SXT Lite5 has been reset to its factory default settings. You can log in using the default credentials and configure it as needed. Remember to restore any previously backed-up configurations if you wish to use your previous settings.
