Mike O'Keefe is a decorated retired NYPD Detective. He spent the better part of his life as a Detective and worked primarily in homicide and violent crime. He's very much known for a situation in which he had to kill a perpetrator (who attacked him) in the line of duty and there was an ensuing riot. However, the truth came out in that situation and the man went on to fight crime for many years, inspiring those around him and proving himself to be very much a fearless leader.

Mike's experiences influenced his "Paddy Durr" novels, a fictional series that's truly stood out in the sub-genre of police and crime fighting novels. He's also known as an online personality for his brutally honest opinions on the current state of police work in the United States and the ways in which society has become the way that it is, due to certain government policies and practices.
