How to create smooth high resolution 3D printing Time Lapses without Octoprint
Mikey's Lab
Hey whats up makers!
If you are like me, there is just something about watching a 3D printer create something you designed. The is something different about watching that creation seem to appear out of thin air.
I have been struggling for a while to get good time lapses using Octo Print. Failures in almost every single step. Synchronization issues, print failures, etc. Even when it did work I ended up with a low res (1080p at best) video. It was frustrating to say the least.
Well, I decided, Octo print is more of a pain than it is worth and I was going to solve the problem with hardware and software myself. Now I get awesome 3D printed time lapse videos with a resolution above 5000x3000 pixels.
Today, I am going to show you how!
