Trying to slow down my playing on the Frankenstrat! Iy's like driving slow in a Lamborghini!Oh well!

So ,a very nice guitarist named AJ suggested I slow down my playing and try to play more "slow and tasty" licks! I tried,but it's difficult without a backtrack to fill in the .......lack of playing with a band! So, always playing in a band with 1 guitarist ,you tend to play,and sometimes overplay ,to fill in the missing bass and drums,a singer is always nice too! If you listen to my band Fatal Attraction Hollywood's Vampires, we would usually have a producer/engineer that would remind me to slow down ,and I did not like to play slow! So eventually I went to Bass,because I can still write on Bass and I found out I could actually play an entire show and not remember it,because of the non stop partying!
