Whats in my Pelican 1510 case
MiBandit
Here is a quick whats in my Pelican case.
I use the Pelican 1510 Carry-On Case with 1510 Padded Divider Set bought from Calumet Photographic. It fits My current gear weel with space for upgrades.
I did upgrade the foam upper in the case to Pelicans 1519 Lid organsier which gives me extra straoge space for the smaller accessriores.
lets get right to it
The case is lockable at two points and I have 2 combination locks up here and some foam ear protectors for the louder events
in the next section I have some blank Cds, paper and a pen for notes over to the last pocket i have the lens blower and cloth to keep my gear dust free below here i keep the standard canon camera strap. I dont use this and in the final pocket I have my YongNuo Flash trigers I use these a lot with my 3 point flash setup
Now the lenses first one is the canon 24 70 2.8 with mibandit sticker Canon just hit the spot with great optics and the 2.8F is the only zoom good enough for low light photos. No need to update to the new one unless you are really concerned about weight i find my self using this alot for its versatility Filter - Size: 77mm
and the next one is the Canon 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM i find this lens perfect for portraits as well as macro photography I could not make my mind up between this one and the L version, but the extra expense just for IS just ain't worth it, most of the time i prefer to use a tripod for crisp macro shots anyway
This lens is the one mounted to my 5d mk2 right now recording the front view of this multi angle video. The Canon EF 50 mm-f/1.4 USM Lens this is another great realivily cheap addition to your kit. Its placed between the 1.8 and the 1.2 but at having used both the others i settled on keeping this one for the perfect balance og weight vs great quality. Sharp lens great for blurry backgrounds
My 2nd body is a Canon 550d with the addition of a battery grip. The grip holds two normal batteries giving longer shooting times and its great for switching between protrait and lanscape shotting, I use this setup with the canon 70 200 2.8 IS to get those distance shots on catwalks as well as quality images in genreal, the crop factor gives an advange to the focal length and the additnion of the view finder lets you crack focus when filimging works great for the low light situations and if it gets too dark for the 550 to handle i just whack it on the 5dmk2 and that gives better image and noise perfromance all round
You want to keep your memory cards safe i have this Anti-shock Waterproof Memory Card Case Holder it holds 4 CF and 8 SD cards has a hard cover and i loop it to my belt so cards are always to hand.
I currently use flashes tha require AA batteries and i use Sanyo eneloop xx 2450 mAh i have lots of these for my 3 flashes I have tested them vs others and recycle time is the best on these maybe the best AA Rechargeables EVER made ! there are a few extras here such as eye cup for the camera and difussers
The flashes i use are Younnuo yn 560 II you can get almost 3 for the price of 1 canon one. they are manual so no TTL but if you know what your doing that isnt a problerm. they have withstood the test of time and i have 3
LAst few thinbgs here like defusers and a note book and a wallet with lense wipes and buiness cards
There you have it also remembver i am filiming this with My 5DMk2 and the 50 mm 1.4 which also fits into this case.
