The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap Playthrough Part 7: Even More Questing and Fusing

And now we're continuing forth with the side quest stuff.

Okay time to detail some of this. First are the Kinstones. Throughout Hyrule, you can meet with people but if you see something like a question mark or a rupee, that's when the Kinstone fusion happens. Kinstones come in three colors: green, blue and red.

Green Kinstones are the common variety and they can range from chests to golden versions of enemies. Sometimes they can lead to quest chains that can give you some goodies like the Four Tingle chain. Completing it nets you the Magical Boomerang.

Blue Kinstones are uncommon but they carry some importance because some fusions can lead to unlocking secret areas. Not to mention growing beanstalks that'll net you Rupees, Shells and sometimes Heart Pieces. Plus they're needed to complete a chain of fusions that can help you get a fourth bottle.

Red Kinstones are rare but every one you do fusions with will unlock some advantages. Some examples include obtaining Heart Pieces, upgrades to Bombs, your wallet and Arrows and even dojos. Yes. These are important because they can help your journey. There's also one that is only unlocked in the post game. Just saying.

Next is the Seashells. What are they all for? Simple. Figurines. There are a total of 130 figures with an additional 6 figures that can be obtained after beating the game. You trade seashells with a figurine creator. It starts off small but in order to ensure you get a new statue, you need to give up more. Cut and dry, that's how it goes. I wanted to detail this because this is the only time I used Gameshark codes to max my seashells... for the sake of getting all the figurines. You need all the figurines in order to get a piece of heart. It sucks but what can you do?

We finish up preparation. Part 8 is where we take on the third dungeon: the Palace of Droplets.
