Is it Still Possible to Speedrun Flash Games?

It's been common knowledge for a while that Adobe Flash will be shutting down in 2020 due to its age, numerous security issues, poor performance, and other issues. After December 2020, people will be unable to play flash games in any of the major web browsers (chrome, firefox, edge, internet explorer, and more). There is a relatively large community of speedrunners who set out to complete flash games as fast as possible. Flash games attract speedrunners due to their short length, their simplicity, and their very accessible nature. So this begs the question: When flash dies in 2020, will flash game speedrunning die as well? This is the question that will be answered in this video.
