This video shows how the default HSL Adjustment Tool in Adobe Photoshop works on images and their colors, and compares it to some of the ways the Max Chroma methods work with color to make adjustments to the saturation, brightness, chroma, etc.
I explain how a question from a user or viewer of the channel asked in a previous video about increasing the saturations of colors when making custom changes to the hues of the image, and so it inspired me to program some additional files and techniques. The Full-Spectrum Gradient Map 1.3 download now includes 9 additional files that will allow making even more hue-specific chromatic adjustments to the files than were there in the first set of files, although I show in this video how you could already go into the Midtones, Tints, or Shades files and start increasing the Chroma or Saturations of the colors in the image or change them to anything you want.
The HSL Adjustment Tool in photoshop can help to do some increases to saturations of the colors in an image, but this video goes into exactly how it works and what some of the limitations are, hence the reason for my developments that attempt to control color in other ways.
