I was on a game show in 1989

I was on a game show in 1989. It was called "Talk-About." My friend, John, and I were given a choice of subjects and had to hit certain key words for points. We chose "The Itsy Bitsy Spider." I had remembered singing this song as a kid. What I had forgotten, was that I could never figure out the lyrics. We didn't win the grand prize, but the producers thought it would be fun for us to perform the whole piece with actions. We rehearsed it during a commercial break.

I was 25 years old. I had hair on my head, my beard was dark, and I wore a tie. Things have changed!

The show was produced by CBC in Vancouver, British Columbia. The show host was Wayne Cox, who later became their weather man.

This was before the Internet and YouTube. If your friends happened to see you on TV it was a big deal.
