On Ludwig von Mises
The Marginal Non-Hermit
Just a short discussion about another of my favorite writers: Ludwig von Mises. On issues of economic import, his writings are incredibly important as well as persuasive. His tone while dismantling all the scaffolds of socialist thought is elevated and derisive. His analysis is thorough and convincing. Although he didn't make his way all the way to anarchism, he supported and encouraged those who did, like the great Murray Rothbard. Here are a few short readings from his book Socialism, that establish his tone and style. Also, the book is available for free: https://mises.org/library/socialism-economic-and-sociological-analysis Most of his other work is there, too!
