OpenAI's ChatGPT and its Moral/Ethical Implications
Maple Grove Productions
On this episode of Philosophy Corner, we reflect on some of the moral and ethical implications that OpenAI's ChatGPT and other such artificial intelligence (AI) systems have brought to the proverbial tech table, or computer desk if you prefer. A lot of people are concerned - and for good reason too. There is most definitely a dark side to this seemingly harmless language model and it's not something to trifle with.
But as we expand on some of the positive aspects of the app, some revelations start to come through. In reality, ChatGPT can be a very useful tool. That is, IF and only IF it is used responsibly, ethically, and with sound moral judgment.
The scary part is that sort of thing is not exactly our species' forte... Are humans even capable of utilizing this power responsibly? Or are we doomed to be enslaved or even destroyed by yet another one of our creations? Is there hope for us? Find out as we explore this complex debate together, as it's still happening right now around the world.
And guess what? ChatGPT wrote this entire description for me. Can you believe it? I love this thing! Just kidding. This was all me. ๐ค I had you going there for a second though, didn't I? That's because it very well could have written this, just not as creatively.
+1 point for the humans. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xHZqX7Y20U4
