Prototyping With Paper
Make It With Calvin
I needed some wood inserts for my On18 train layout and figured this was a good time to also show how I use paper templates to prototype the final wood pieces and make sure they are cut to the right size. A few minutes of cutting and fitting saves me a ton of money in material and manufacturing costs.
If you are interested in the wood building flats I am using on the layout you can purchase them here from my Etsy shop: https://calvinwitt.etsy.com/listing/1338359335/o-scale-148-wood-western-building-flat
