Machining The Foam Core
Make It With Calvin
This is a project that I have wanted to tackle for a while, which is making custom charcoal kilns for some of my micro-layout ideas. In this case, I opted to make the core with my CNC mill to show what could be done, but this could have been done by hand. Once the cores were milled, I went ahead and made a 2-part silicone mold so they could be cast in resin.
Currently, I can't seem to find the foam that was used to make the cores. If anyone has a link to this, please let me know!
