On a recent trip to Thailand, I used a pendulum to demonstrate the acceleration of a plane.
A few short snippets of our wonderful Thai holiday in Phuket.
I show that an accelerating plane is a non-inertial frame of reference, as the pendulum ‘appears’ to be held to the left by an ‘invisible’ force.
