Electrifying a piece of Vegemite Toast prank FAIL for April Fools Day

So I had this idea to use the conductivity of vegemite to make eating vegemite toast an electrifying experience! I intended it for an April Fools Day prank, but it turned out to be a bit of a fail from that perspective. I buried a 20volt battery with wiring in the toast so that when your lips and tongue made contact with the vegemite strips, current would flow, giving the eater a bit of a zing!
