--Script-- Hello everyone, and welcome back to another episode of the Robloxian, the news show for anything and everything Roblox. I am MacAndSwiss, here are the timestamps, and let’s jump straight into it.
First, let’s go over some quick changes and development news. Yesterday, Roblox implemented a change, which requires all group transfers to first go through an account PIN check.
Honestly, all I can say is FINALLY. Several games and their revenue have been outright stolen from developers who, even though they may have had that extra layer of security, couldn’t do anything against group ownership theft in the past. I’m glad that Roblox is starting to make changes to the platform that stop people from losing everything should they have their accounts compromised.
Speaking of losing everything, let’s quickly go over a pretty high profile termination. Last week, Roblox user DoubleBox had his account TERMINATED, with the reason being the apparent compromise of his account. The user tried sending an appeal to Roblox, but that has been denied as well earlier this week.
Since I don’t have the emails, I can only rely on his account for my opinion. But regardless, Roblox moderation has a pretty terrible track record, especially when it comes to dealing with account suspensions and terminations. And it sucks that the account, which seemed to have had some pretty rare stuff on it, is just gone with the click of a button from someone who apparently didn’t have any context of the situation. This is just another example of why Roblox needs to take a serious look at their current system of moderation, and take steps to improve the communication in their support team.
And finally, let’s take a look at some drama that has risen up this week. According to videos published by popular youtuber Jeremy, shirts that represent his brand, Don’t Trip, were removed from the in-game clothing of Adopt Me. At the same time, he was blocked by both the official Adopt Me account and Tactful, the director of business and growth at Dreamcraft. In response, Jeremy directed his audience to leave messages on both the official twitter account as well as Tactful’s account, asking for him to be unblocked.
I want to ask this. What was the purpose of sending your audience to brigade on your behalf, when you’re a well-known public figure? If you had an issue with them blocking you on Twitter, I do ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JSt5-la7iSw
