What Automatic Door Should I Get Helping Me Build A Chicken Coop
L2Survive
I've decided to build a chicken coop. I have the shed for the chicken coop. I just got the chicken run completely fenced in. Now I have to decide on a door from the coop to the run.
Things to consider. I want it to be automatic, solar-powered with a backup battery for days with low sunlight. It gets hot in the summer and very cold in the winter. So, we have to consider strings that can easily get brittle and break or tracks that can get filled with ice or snow. It is also very sandy and the wind blows that sand everywhere. I want it to be as overpowered as I can get.
Some of you have mentioned Farmlite and Omlet. Are these any good? Why? How long have yours run for before breaking? I'm looking for the best automatic chicken coop door that exists.
