The Google Cyber Course offers comprehensive theory coverage and prepares you well for the Security+ exam. It's a polished course with a broad range of topics, making it an excellent introduction to cybersecurity. On the other hand, my course is designed to bridge the gap between certification and job readiness, focusing on essential topics for entry-level cyber interviews.

In terms of practical experience, the Google Cyber Course provides hands-on labs in a controlled sandbox environment, covering various tasks such as log inspection, SQL querying, and Python. In my course, all labs are conducted in a live tenant within your own subscription, using real-world malicious traffic. We create and analyze logs from different resources, ensuring a thorough understanding of incidents and alerts.

When it comes to employability, the Google Cyber Course falls a bit short. While they discuss valid concepts, they lack depth in areas such as portfolio building and interview preparation. In contrast, my course offers a framework for building a GitHub portfolio with a baseline project, along with examples from previous graduates. I provide sample interview questions, resume construction guidance, and even offer personal resume and portfolio reviews.
