8th Grade Math 7.2a, Solving an Equation That Involves Fractions
JoAnn's School
To solve an equation with the variable on both sides that involves fractions, we start by eliminating the fractions from the equation. We multiply both sides of the equation by the least common multiple (LCM) of the denominators to eliminate the fractions. We review how to find the LCM. We show the steps to eliminate the fractions from the equation and solve it using inverse operations.
