8th Grade Math 1.2a, Classifying Real Numbers

When we classify objects, we arrange them into groups. The set of "real numbers" contains rational numbers and irrational numbers. Rational numbers include the subsets of natural numbers, whole numbers, and integers. Irrational numbers are not perfect squares. We walk-through how to identify and write all of the names that will apply to given numbers.
