This month, we have Marcus Weiner, who will be giving a talk on GoCommerce, a headless e-commerce backend for JAMstack websites.
GoCommerce (https://github.com/netlify/gocommerce) is an open-source project started by Matt Biilmann at Netlify to enable powering e-commerce sites using the Jamstack. Marcus will dive into what makes it special in comparison to other headless e-commerce services and share what they've learned from building it for customers who wanted to move their shops onto the Jamstack. Netlify doesn't currently sell this project as a managed service, but people building on the Jamstack might be able to use it or learn from it.
Marcus (they/them) is a backend engineer at Netlify focusing on the CDN, serverless and headless API features of the platform. Their daily drivers are Rust and Go with a bit of TypeScript on the side. Right now their main focus is on making the platform scale to the next million developers as well as enabling the most advanced Jamstack use cases to run on Netlify. Connect with them on twitter or github @mraerino!
