Exploring the Abandoned Good Hope School in St Croix US Virgin Islands! Everything left behind!

#AbandonedSchool #TheGoodHopeSchool #ExploreStCroix We originally thought that the place closed down due to storm damage but we found out through a local cruzan mongoose (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGP7k_OYoxjNDH0cNLSZNew) that The Good Hope School closed down because of the economy, and because the Hovensa oil refinery closed down. They merged with ST Croix Country Day School. Hess oil was the original name of the oil refinery, then Hovensa and now Lime Tree Terminals The plant closed down like 5 to 6 years ago and has now reopened at about one third of capacity. A good percentage of the kids that went to The Good Hope School had parents that worked for the Oil refinery and that's the main reason it closed down.
