Justifications for Hate - Canon Fodder S1 Ep. 6 (Books Seven & Eight of the Iliad)
Iron Age Archive
For over a million billion years, man has used the sharing of stories as a tool for understanding his existence. Join Jeff McNukes, Bucklander, Laurentian, and Cinder Mountain Villager as they wrestle their way through the issues of a culture in political and spiritual chaos; viewing the degeneracy and delusion brought about by The Enlightenment through the lens of Ancient Literature, and more specifically, Homer’s Iliad.
The Iliad (Song of Ilium) is an ancient Greek epic poem, traditionally attributed to Homer. Set during the Trojan War, the ten-year siege of the city of Troy (Ilium) by a coalition of Mycenaean Greek states (Achaeans), it tells of the battles and events during the weeks of a quarrel between King Agamemnon and the warrior Achilles.
Ajax and Hector face off on the field while Priam, Paris and the Greeks quibble about the terms necessary to end the hostilities. The questions of honorable combat, chivalry, and the justifications for hatred are raised by the panel. Are the Right and the Left entering a phase of Total War? Can Antifa and the Proud Boys display chivalry and honor in combat? How much salami can Bucklander eat in one episode of Canon Fodder?
