Bernina Needle Bar not Moving - Part 1 - Models 1090, 1120, 1130, 1230 and more.

If your Bernina needle bar is not moving but everything else is, then this video may be the answer. These machines have a basting feature where the needle bar is disengaged for a period and this creates the long basting stitches. The mechanism can become seized up with lack of use and lack of lubrication. I show where to lubricate the latch and you can do this via the take-up lever slot so there is no need to take the covers off to access the latch.

This is the improved second version of the video. In my older video, I showed fixing this issue via the more in-depth method. This improved version shows the quick method. Part 2 shows tightening the rigidity plate correctly which I did not show in the original version.
