What time is the new meeting?
Good KARMA to everyone!
Did you know that humans perceive time in 2 ways:
If I told you that “Wednesday’s meeting at noon has been moved forward by 2 hours”. What time is the new meeting? Did you know that humans perceive time in two ways and we will get people saying it is 10am and other people saying 2pm. What would you think?
Please comment below or what time you think the new meeting would be.
Research has shown that that personality differences and emotional experiences may also influence how people reason about events in time, based on the assumption that people's understanding of time is grounded in their experiences in space. Participants who adopted the Moving-Time perspective (10am) were more likely to exhibit conscientious behaviours or anxious, while those who adopted the Moving-Ego perspective (2pm) were more likely to procrastinate. The Ego-moving perspective conceptualizes time as a stationary landscape that the active ego moves across, for example, We're approaching Christmas and the Time-moving perspective conceives of time as a conveyor belt that events move along, relative to a stationary ego, for example, Christmas is approaching.
