-----📋VIDEO OVERVIEW (copy/pasted script from DeScript)📋---- Usually we make videos about streaming, but today we're taking things a little different But look, to be fair, if you're a streamer, you should be creating content on other places. Anyway, should it be to YouTube shorts, anything like that?

I found Descript, which is, basically like a video editing software, except it probably shouldn't be your primary, but it's definitely good for your talking head scenes like I'm doing right now. And basically it just puts it all into a script for you.

So if you didn't like a sentence or you didn't like a word or anything like that, you can just literally delete it on the page and they disappear from the video. It takes the audio from what your video editor would usually see, make it into actual text and then push it through. Now, of course, it's 2022 in this day and age, everything is a subscription and yes it is, but you can get three hours completely for free at the start.

And then it only goes up to, I think, between 12 to $15 a month.

So instead of you guys spending your own money, this entire video is going to be done through Descript. In terms of the cuts in my talking, in terms of everything like that, of course there's gonna be some overlays and

some B roll out like the software and stuff like that. But this entire talking part of the video is all done in de script. Before I started doing this, I recorded just a little 30 second clip of just me talking and just going through, this is me testing and this is what I want to try to do.

It's meant to be very good for this 📍

And to be honest, I really am quite surprised. Usually softwares like this, there's some big holes or some other types of problems. But Descript is seen just so cool. The entire way through. It's not perfect. It's not gonna fix everything.

I stumble on a lot of words. Sometimes. I don't know where my next sentence is going, but that's where I can help. Sometimes I take 15 to 20 seconds between sentences, just because I don't know where my brain wants to go for the next part.

I don't script my videos in advance. I find that it doesn't portray my personality. so having access to a software like Descript or the script, or however you wanna say, it seems really cool. And I'm I'm super interested just to see how this plays out.

This video is like a showcase of this cool software that you could use, but it's also my demonstration of how good the software.

It could be an interesting way to get some automatic text on your screen for your YouTube videos and your TikToks that's where I could probably see it being most prevalent, but of course you could use it in just YouTube in general. Now, obviously you might not want subtitles over every single word that you say, 📍 not even Mr. Beast has gone that far. But it's definitely an interesting concept for when it comes to creating content on YouTube, is that when people are scrolling on their phones or on their computers, it starts autoplaying. And the big strategy lately has been is to try hook them in within those 10 seconds that they hover over your video.

And obviously with no audio, that can be quite difficult, but whereas a tool like this can come 📍 really good and handy, even if you completely finish your export, put it into Descript, then you add these types of subtitles over the very top that could be interesting I don't know. I'm curious about your thoughts.
