Pixelmator Slice Tool

Learn about the Pixelmator SLICE Tool. The Slice Tool is used to divide an image into smaller images and to optimize each part of an image with its own optimization settings.

Slicing is useful for website layouts with different elements, such as buttons, logos, layouts with different backgrounds, and other objects.

This is number 7 of the 7 Basic Tools in Pixelmator - Move, Zoom, Hand, Eyedropper, Type, Crop, Slice. The most important palette in Pixelmator is the Tools palette. Each tool has its own unique settings that change every time you switch tools.
