Trying out different ways to apply a finish | Giving a 10 year old project a Makeover
Home Built Workshop
I built a neat little shoe rack for my Daughter back in 2015. That piece was made from some reclaimed pine boards and finished in Danish Oil. I never really liked the yellow look the Danish Oil gave the pine. I'd like to repurpose that shoe rack in another area of our home so I thought I'd give it a makeover. I have some water based stain and poly left over from a different project, it says you can use it on previously finished wood. I've wanted to test that out and I think this project is perfect for that. I decided to try a few different methods to apply the finish to see what worked the best. I tried a paint brush, foam brush, and a spray gun. I think I like the results of the spray gun the best. The finish worked great and this project is ready to be but back to work. Which method do you like best?
