Arduino Project #7 Part 1 | Doggie Water Bowl Refill Indicator/Monitor [PCB Sponsored by PCBWay]
HeathenHacks
Hey there,
First, I'd like to say that this is a 2 part video. Watch out for Part 2 next week!
So, about a month ago, it was Sept 5 iirc. I received an e-mail from a manager of a PCB manufacturing company telling me that they saw one of my projects on hackster and wanting to provide the PCB for my next one if I wanted to.
And of course I accepted the offer. I mean, that was the first recognition that I got.
I was excited and crammed in as much info as I can about PCB layouts/design softwares, etc...
First, I tried the one from Altium called "CircuitMaker".
I liked it. It was easy enough for a noob like me and youtube tutorials really helped.
But, unfortunately, the PCB company can't open the gerber file from CircuitMaker.
So, I downloaded Eagle Cad and boy, oh boy! That was even better than CircuitMaker!, imho.
Went to the process of learning as much as I can again, then designing my PCB for the 2nd time...
Then, since I am a noob pretending to be a professional, I accidentally hit Ignore on some of the things on the ERC. Submitted my design and when it arrived, the 2 terminals that are supposed to be connected to the 2 grounds of the #Arduino were not connected to them.
I was surprised at first, wondering why then felt stupid when I remembered and realized that it was my fault. Lol.
But at the end of the day, I still managed to use the PCB.

Don't worry, I wouldn't get anything if you decide to try their services. I just wanted to help.
IF YOU'RE WONDERING WHERE THE CODE/PROJECT FILE, SOURCES LINK IS, YOU WON'T FIND IT HERE.
THAT WILL BE ON NEXT WEEK'S VIDEO. SORRY.
