My daughter told me last week that her Jeep Liberty was suddenly having a hard time going in reverse and sometimes sluggish when going forward. I suspected the filter may need to be changed - but in the back of my mind - knew that since it was a sudden onset - there may be damage.

I changed the filter and when draining the old (brown - not red) fluid - saw debris. Not good. We'll have to be investing in having hers rebuilt - or buying a rebuilt and having it installed. Not a fun day.
