𝐇𝐎𝐖𝐈𝐂: 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐮𝐭 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐈 𝐂𝐚𝐧
3D MODEL DESCRIPTION I had pulled the center console out of my Chevy truck and one of the pins securing the front of it down was damaged, and wouldn't hold it all the way down. Upon measuring it, I realized it was similar in size to the fuel tank shield fastener I had already modeled. Making a few adjustments to that, I was able to make a functional replacement for the fastener that was holding my console down. Though it's different from the original, it still gets the job done.
Made to attach to a panel that is < 2 mm thick. The pin is 9.3 mm in diameter at its widest point and 20 mm long. The gap between the disc heads is 5 mm. The disc heads are 19.4 mm diameter. Inner is 1.3 mm thick. Outer is 1.8 mm thick. Shaft diameter between discs is 6 mm. Shaft diameter at base of pin, where it meets first disc, is 7.6 mm. Wall thickness of pin is 2 mm.
3D PRINTING SETTINGS 0.4 mm nozzle 0.2 mm layer height Printed with support at 45 degree angle on y axis.
I know there are sites specifically for 3d models, however, out of 10 major ones I examined, only Cults3d and Pinshape have a decent privacy policy (no Google telemetry) for basic usage. There is an added hurdle for those sites though, in that they require signup to download files. I chose to put my designs on Cults3d and realize not everyone will signup to download models. Since Odysee does not require sign up to download, that is why I am making my designs available here as well.
