Why is Triple A gaming declining? | Gaming With Spoons
Gaming With Spoons
“Games as service” is a term being thrown about far to much in the video game industry. EA and Activision have really been pushing for this business model since the beginning of this generation. While there have been good games released this gen many of the titles feel held back or rushed to get them out the door to monetize them. Bethesda despite saying they are all about the single player experince seem to be taking steps forward to montetize there games even further and Ubisoft has said games a service is the future. Even Microsoft has focused on that this generations. Games a service can be used for great things but developers and companies use the them the wrong way. Single player games are diminishing by many triple A publishers because they don’t conform to this money making pattern they keep wanting to push. Single player games will always be around but they on a Triple A level they could disappear altogether.
