Super Metroid but played at midnight

Nothing quite like cracking jokes in the middle of the night over Super Metroid and hustling our way past boss battles. Even in the 16 bit era Samus is smoking hot. This is the start of a long journey through the Metroid game on the SNES. Though we are playing on the Super Nintendo Classic Edition because our Retron 5 doesn't seem to want to play the actual SNES cartridge version of Super Metroid. Something that we didn't know (call us fools) was that this was the 3rd metroid game? Was it, I'm going ot have to look this up on Wikipedia because I thought there was only one Metroid game for the NES, correct me if I'm wrong.
