One of the most enjoyable parts of the Astro Bot games is rescuing stranded VIP Bots. These include cameos pulled from all sorts of PlayStation properties new and old. With 150 of them to spot in Astro Bot, you can expect some deep cuts.

That also creates an opportunity for some family bonding. If a kid playing the game doesn’t recognize a character, their parents might. That becomes an opportunity to share memories, and that is so wholesome.

Astro Bot on PlayStation 5 is the followup to Astro Bot Rescue Mission, which itself spun off from Astro’s Playroom. The franchise moved from being a technical showcase of PlayStation systems to one of its most endearing platformers.
