How to extend your WiFi between 2 buildings for $30 or How to transmit or share your WiFi 53.5 meters for minimal cost
WiFi generally works well within a building, but what happens if you want to share it further, like to your shed, workshop, granny flat or your neighbours place?
To put this video in context, where I live we only have access to wireless internet or satellite. Currently I am using 4G which comes from a tower barely 900 meters away. I was apparently not able to get the fixed wireless which is on the same tower, despite seeing the signal in my phone. Explain that one to me!
This video explains how I did it with minimal time, money or effort and got good results.
If you have wired internet you can still achieve the same results with a 2nd range extender, but the ability to mount your router externally does make things much easier.
Yes the box for my router cost another ~$10, I am aware of that. Technically it is not completely necessary. Unless you have weather or security concerns.
