Apple A1339 Trackpad LiPo Conversion - I hate changing batteries

#Apple #trackpad #lipo #conversion Wasteful, disposable batteries are one of my pet peeves, its definitely up there with being locked in to using DRM print media or whatever.

Fortunately there is something we can do about it. I show you how I made my trackpad rechargeable, there are definitely other ways. If you're clever enough you may even be able to make a battery adapter that screws in without having to drill a hole in your beautiful aluminium framed trackpad.

Mine was already in a poor state with a missing foot and some damage, so I didn't care. Outwardly it looks like any other A1339 Trackpad, and I'm happy with that.

REVISED UPDATE It holds charge for 10 days, keep in mind this is a used battery out of an old iPhone. My Mac reports a slowly decreasing battery percentage. I tested the battery, at the time it was at 3.45v and the AMS1117-3.5 was outputting 2.56V, that is way better than I imagined it would work for this scenario! Most importantly it is usable while it is being charged.
