Setting up Linux Mint on an AMD Phenom II X6 1055T
FastGadgets
Even though I've owned this system for over 8 years, I still find the AMD Phenom II X6 a useful processor for a backup and testing computer. In this episode, I'll be adding 8GB of ram for a total of 16 GB, as well as setup a 1 TB mechanical hard drive. After the hardware is ready, I'll be installing Linux Mint 18, and testing Kdenlive out. The last thing I'll do is shrink the Mint install partition so I can use the HDD to install other flavors of Linux.
