Checking if Samba is installed: dnf list samba smbstatus systemctl status nmb smb

Stop the SMB and NMB services and disable them so they don't start on reboot: systemctl disable nmb smb systemctl stop nmb smb

Installing Samba, and security in place initially dnf install samba systemctl start smb nmb setsebool –P samba_enable_home_dirs on pdbedit –a mark systemctl restart smb nmb
