Visualizing sound! Shadowgraph of an acoustic levitator.

Seeing sound waves is very challenging; perhaps elusive for many! Turns out an optical apparatus can be used to do that. We still need a high speed camera to see the waves traveling in real time (or almost real time) - which means hours of FUN in the lab! Hope you find this insightful!
