This can be really helpful when you're trying to keep your financial statements in order. Let's take a look at how it's done!

We will use MAX function in this formula, therefore lets see the syntax and understand MAX function in excel as follows;

MAX function in excel is a built-in function that returns the largest value from a given list of arguments. The MAX function ignores empty cells and text values but considers error values.

The generic syntax for MAX function is as follows; =MAX(number_value, [number_value],…)

So coming back to our formula, we will use MAX function to return the largest value from a given list of negative numbers. The formula will be as follows;

=MAX(A:A)

This will convert all the negative numbers in A column to zeroes and leave positive numbers unchanged.

You can also use this formula in other cells by selecting the cell range where you have the negative numbers.
