Welcome to another episode of text functions and formulas, and in this video, we will learn about comparing text in excel, if you want to compare two or more text cells or strings you can do it easily with functions like EXACT which returns either true or false values.

First, let's learn about EXACT Function;

=EXACT(text1, text2)

The EXACT function syntax has the following arguments:

Text1:The first text string.

Text2:The second text string.

As you can see it's pretty straightforward. TEXT1 will be the first text string you want to select in your excel sheets and TEXT2 will be the following one to find or compare the text.

And in the following timeline, we will learn how to wrap the boolean values in your words like "yes" or "no" which we have used in the video above with the help of the IF Function.

Comparing text in excel is pretty easy if we need to compare two cells but for multiple text cells, we will be taking the help of the "Go-To Window" which you can find in the "Find & Select" Option, and using the same we will highlight the values which are similar and non-similar as we have described in the video.
