Building a Custom Wireless Joystick for Your Atari 2600
Eran Feit
In this video, we'll show you how to build a wireless Atari joystick using Arduino. If you're a fan of classic Atari games and want to add a modern twist to your gaming experience, then this tutorial is for you. We'll start by explaining how to capture the signals from an original Atari 2600 joystick using an Arduino Adafruit 433 module. Then, we'll add a Lipo battery and On/Off switch to make the joystick wireless.
The captured signals are then transmitted as radio signals to another Arduino, called the "listener," which waits for the signals and converts them into joystick objects. This creates a fully functional wireless Atari joystick that combines modern technology with the original joystick, providing a smooth and fun gaming experience.
