While Bluetooth modules are abundant and inexpensive, they tend to generate a lot of noise. To address this, I designed a baseboard that effectively isolates the power supply, reducing the buzzing noise during use. However, it doesn’t entirely eliminate noise pickup when the module is powered on but not in use.

The goal of this project was to activate the Bluetooth module only when it’s actually needed, preventing any noise interference while listening to the radio. After experimenting with various switching solutions, I found that the simplest approach was to use the supply to the magic eye tube to control the Bluetooth module. Since the magic eye is typically off when any of the radio bands are selected, this seemed like an ideal solution.
