I wanted a workshop amplifier to have permanently fitted on the workbench for testing of line level devices. While I have more amplifiers than I could possibly need, setting one up every time I need to test something is a pain. I also like the modular system that I have fitted below the shelf on the workspace, and the missing amplifier was like a missing front tooth in an otherwise beautiful smile. I looked at many suppliers of amplifier modules, and decided to order one from a french company Audiophonics (https://www.audiophonics.fr/en/). The form factor was right and the description intriguing. It also has speaker protection, which is not usual in chipamp modules.
